So I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree last year (don’t come at me, I know that was a horrible mistake and am well aware of that). But anyways, I’ve been struggling trying to find a job like the rest of us. I’ve had interviews, and some of them went great and I really thought I would get the job but ended up not getting it.

Now to get to my point…I applied for a behavior technician role earlier today. A few minutes later I get a text message from them saying that they were going to call me within the hour. They said “Hello. This is [place I applied to] and we just tried calling about your application but weren’t able to reach you. When you have a moment please call us back at [number].” I thought huh, that’s weird because I did NOT get a phone call from them. I was literally on my phone when they tried calling me. And no, I do not have my Do Not Disturb on. I look at my voicemail inbox and recent calls inbox and literally got NOTHING from the number they tried calling me from. Happened to me not just once but twice today. And then weird thing is, they didn’t leave me a voicemail if they did happen to call me. It was weird too because I got an email from HR saying that they will view my application and contact me if I’m a good fit. I don’t think they did that yet because on Indeed my application still says applied.

Am I dodging a bullet here? Or does this seem weird to anyone else? I’m thinking about emailing them directly and telling them what happened because the text messages seemed a little automated.
