I get a few emails or LinkedIn messages a week saying that they have an opportunity that I would be a good fit for (I’m pretty specialized so they include very specific skills required). They also ask for dates and times to discuss it further.

I look up their profile and company- make sure it’s not a scam and respond with dates and times.

Crickets. No response- nada. What is the purpose of this? Even if it was a scam - I don’t give anything they don’t already have easy access to online. I’m just trying to understand the point of it all.
