Tonight when I was wiping my female cat who is not yet spayed, there was unusual prominent bright red blood on the pad after I wiped. I’ve wiped her a couple of times over the past four hours. She could be in heat, but this doesn’t seem usual.

Her private area looks slightly inflamed. She hasn’t been showing any signs of distress and she did eat her dinner. There also is no signs of blood in her two litter boxes.

Is this something I can wait until the morning to make appt with the vet and have her checked out? It’s 10pm currently.
