I have a 14 week old kitten, absolutely love him to pieces but I feel that despite my daily efforts of play, affection and care that he is bored and lonely. His bites are hard, I completely understand that this is usual kitten behaviour and I am not complaining, just explaining. However I have been reading on how to help entertain him and teach him when bites are too hard, that usually it is best to have cats in pairs. I am also returning to work soon and do not want him to be lonely.

So, I guess my question is, do you have a single cat and are they ok by themselves when you are at work all day?

Should I get him a companion?

Please understand, I want to do what is best for my little guy and only what is best.
