I was unemployed for a good 15 months…thank god I have support. What I did to get employed was take a pay cut at a shady / no nothing company in a slightly different industry and prove myself. Once I got the confidence back, it payed dividends in the interviews that followed. My advice to anyone is to humble yourself and take the less paying job…at the end of the day 0 dollars a hour is worse than whatever rate you are taking…a man needs to work. Now I work at a Fortune 500 company with mental health days, WF days, stipends out the but, 4 % 401k match and a free Mac book. Lock in brothers!
