My dad found a 3 week old kitten around 5 days ago. I have been taking care of it ever since and I named him Silvio.

I took him to the vet and everything was okay. He had conjuntivitis and is underweight but other than that everything seemed fine.

Today at noon I made a huge mistake. I was getting him food ready and I decided to bring Silvio with me instead of leaving him in my room. I was grabbing him towards my chest, he slipped and fell. I am 6 ft tall so you can imagine it was a pretty rough fall for Silvio. His behavior changed immediately because he was in so much pain. I managed to feed him a little but then I put him in his bed and he fell asleep. That was around noon, he didn’t wake up at all until around 5 pm when I started to worry and checked on him. He could barely stand up, he ate very little and after eating he went back to sleep.

This was abnormal behavior because he would usually sleep for an hour or two, devour around 4 milliliters of milk and then he would go to sleep after playing for a little bit. This time after his fall he slept for like 6 hours straight and barely ate so I figured he was under severe pain.

I took him to the vet again and thank God he has no internal injuries. He gave me some medicine to calm his pain a little and told me to keep an eye on him and wake him up and feed him from time to time.

It’s 1:21 am from the next day and he has been sleeping ever since we came back from the vet, I have woken him up and fed him but he barely eats at all, he feels incredibly skinny I am amazed how quickly his health has deteriorated but I might be just freaking out.

I don’t know, I am not sure if he is going to survive the night, let’s hope for the best but he is not looking good at all. Just wanted to vent about this here because I don’t want to share what happened with my relatives yet. I am very embarrassed because I barely have had my kitten for a few days and I already caused an accident.
