There’s a stray at my work that we’ve been taking care of for a few months now. But he has gotten extremely attached to me, like he follows me around work. I talked to all my coworkers and they encouraged me to bring his cute little ass home. However, before I do, I wanna know what I should do first for him.

I’m looking for a vet to take him to, as I wanna make sure he’s healthy cause I already have a girlie at home and I don’t want him passing anything onto her. I also wanna get him snipped before I bring him in so that he doesn’t spray around the apartment.

I think he was abandoned at my work, cause he was DEFINITELY at least 6 months old when we found him, as he hasn’t grown much since we found him. He always goes to the bathroom in the same area and buries it with leaves, but I’m not sure if he’s house trained. He definitely was in a loving home before, cause he’s the sweetest cat and he’ll walk up to you once he trusts you.

I plan on keeping him in the bathroom the first week or so that I have him to get him acclimated to being inside and my boyfriend, cause he’s a very shy boy. I’m not worried about him with my other cat, as we have 2 cats here at my work that were born here and he gets along with them just fine. She’s gonna be upset about it, but he’s bigger than her and she’ll adjust, as this is not the first time she’s had to get used to living with another cat.

Is there anything else I should take into consideration before I officially adopt him? I wanna adopt him before summer hits, cause I’m in Phoenix.
