So my cat has been sick recently and they wanna do x rays, the nurse recommended the wellness plan which includes the xray ($400), dental cleaning ($300), among other services like free visits and urine testing. On paper it seems like what I need done today will make up a good chunk of the roughly $800 a year cost, but is it better than just paying with insurance?

I have ASPCA but submitted my first claims like 2 weeks ago with no response yet so I’m not sure how strict they’re gonna be about reimbursement. I pay about $30 a month with a minimum of $500 out of pocket and 80% off up to 7k. So I’d be paying 30 x 12 + 500 =$860 before I start receiving benefits so I am paying about 800 flat either way.

This is my first time dealing with all this and I’m a bit freaked out dealing with my cat’s first illness. She’s 6 and the best girl 😢
