Hi everyone! I recently won tickets to an aquarium about 3 hours away, and we’re thinking about making it a weekend trip. I’m really excited, but also a little anxious about leaving my cat. She’s 7 months old and our only pet, so she’d be by herself.

We do have a camera set up so I can check on her. And my MIL lives right next door and can come over to feed her, scoop the litter box, and check on her, so I know her basic needs will be taken care of. The only thing is she’s pretty skittish and scared of other people besides us, so I don’t think she’ll come out while my MIL is there, so there probably won’t be any playtime either. I just feel guilty thinking about her being lonely or missing us. I know that’s probably normal, but it still makes me worry. I also want to be able to go on longer vacations in the future, so I know it’s something I need to get more comfortable with.

What can we do to make sure she’s not super bored or lonely? Or just any advice in general?
