Sooo my sweet baby girl is massive. But there’s a lot of background info

My son and I had to flee our home and move states away after being victimized by my husband. Sadly, I had to leave our 2 cats with my spouse. It’s in the protective order that he can’t hurt them, and I don’t have any concerns over physically trying to hurt them

That being said, he’s threatening to take my girl cat (Bevin) to the pound, because she keeps pooping outside of the litter box, and he’s extremely grossed out and barfs when he has to clean in. I’m pretty sure she does it bc he built this drawer for the litter box, but pee has soaked through the bottom wood and it’s disgusting. I’ve asked him multiple times to get rid of the drawer. She used to only poop outside of the box when she felt it wasn’t clean enough (right towards cleaning day). She’s had a uti before, I don’t think she was getting enough water. My gpa is a vet, so we got her meds and I started giving her watered down wet food more often. He’s too grossed out by the smell of her wet food to do it, but says she doesn’t have a uti. She does love to shower and always has a water bowl, so hopefully this is true.

All that to say, she’s not healthy. She’s massive, and keeps getting bigger. We can’t afford the pricier prescription food rn, are there any alternatives that yall have tried that have helped? She’s indoor, so not a ton of movement. We’ve cut out treats, done less food, but no change. Obviously I’m going to try to go get her as soon as I can, but had to prioritize my son and I’s safety first. I’m just not really sure how to help her. If I moved her here she’d have to be mostly outside since my dad is allergic, which may have her moving more? Idk guys. I feel like the worst cat owner. She’s literally the sweetest kitty😭😭
