Hey everyone - I’m thinking of some ways that we can motivate people to adopt and foster cats. If this doesn’t already exist, I think that providing tax credits to families and individuals who rescue and/or foster animals from approved shelters should be eligible to receive a tax credit. I think this would motivate and encourage people to adopt from local shelters and would possibly relieve some of the financial burden that comes with caring for an animal.
I’d love to hear what you think of this. Is it a good idea? I know it will be challenging and there will be roadblocks. But I think it could be worthwhile. Would love to hear other perspectives.
