I recently got hired at a pretty huge company that uses Accurate to do their background checks. Although I have no criminal record, that’s not what I’m nervous about. I got kicked out of college at one point and had to get credits from a community college to transfer back in, so I lied about my college start date on my resume. Well, not exactly, I put the start date as the year I transferred back into college, but my graduation date is accurate.

I also lied about the length of employment at one job to make it seem like I worked there longer. Will they be able to see all this on the background check? Will it matter?
