Background info: DSH, 14years, male.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma found in throat and on tongue. Included pictures of the mass after the first photo.

We have got all the treats and final meal foods he can manage (liquids, pastes, soft food) and he is now on meloxicam 0.5mg for the pain.

He obviously is gulping/swallowing and coughing and is obviously finding it difficult to get comfortable without putting pressure on his throat. He is normally a very affectionate and social cat but has been disliking being touched and instead now sits near us looking sad. His tail has gone down for the first time in the 14 years of having him.

His advanced bloodwork was all perfectly in range but he has a slight fever.

The vets decided not to do an X-Ray as it wouldn’t change the outcome.

Is there anything else people can suggest to make him more comfortable? Looking at euthenasia this week but just want to make him the comfiest & most loved he can feel in the mean time
