Hello,
My sweet girl (about 13-14 my best guess) has enjoyed a healthy life thus far. She had been lucky to be spared from any major health issues and I’m so glad she has because she is my best friend.
I got her some routine bloodwork to make sure she was all good for a dental cleaning and the vet called and said she has very early indicators of kidney disease and given her age we need a urine sample (working on it)
I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for preserving her kidney function and slowing any disease as early as possible. She gets routine vet care, wet and dry good, water fountain water, and has all the comfort she could want with the various kittens beds and hidey spaces we’ve provided for her. Shes a good girl and I love her to death and I would do anything to make sure she has a long and healthy life, including spending a ton of money if need be.
Thank you.
