I found Vivi (calico cat) with her brothers in a garbage can on April 12th. If I had to guess, they were about a week old at the time, especially since one kitten already had his eyes open.
I’ve been caring for them since then. The smallest of the three died on the first day with me, as he was very tiny and weak. The other two did well on kitten formula at first.
Then the yellow tabby started losing a lot of weight and refusing to eat. By Friday night, he had passed away.
Now Vivi is the only one left. She’s around 3–4 weeks old and had been doing well until Sunday, when she started refusing food and dropped from 290g to 250g. She refuses most of the formula and completely ignores kitten wet food.
She has been to the vet, who dewormed her and told me to keep trying with food. I am doing that, but honestly this is stressing me out a lot. She still plays, is alert, and walks around normally, but getting her to eat is really difficult.
Does anyone have any advice or experience with something similar? At this point, I’m really worried she’s going to starve herself.
