Help,I keep tripping the breaker when trying to put in a new paddle switch (has a ground and 2 posts). In the box it has a white/black/copper to the outside light, another white/black/copper (think that goes to a 2 plug outlet below) and a RED/white/black/copper. It keeps tripping on me, not sure why?
Any help would be appreciated!

sounds like you might have a 2 pole system. is there another switch that controls the same light? a switch with 2 screws and ground wouldn’t work for that.
