    Now we need to meet the person capable of running it and running IN it. Surely there would be some grand recognition for such a person.

    I suspect having the runners going the same direction as we read the text (left to right) would resolve some of the design issues with this comic.

      What design issue. There is one text box per panel, and two people standing still and running in each. I know going left to right often mean progression in visual language, but that level of analysis feels quite overkill for a two panel comic pun.

        It’s actually quite a clever design. As your eyes track left to right to read the text, they’re then drawn right to left to observe the runners. This brings you perfectly back in line with the next block of text below.

        Without that poster pointing out the design, the genius could easily have been missed.
