There is an established process he could have used to raise those issues directly with the commissioner. However he decided he wanted internet points more. This doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in someone who hopes to run the government some day.

Nah, the “established process” is exactly what the police want you to use so the issue can be sandbagged for 30 years and the officers involved can slyly retire and never face any repercussions, and since it would’ve taken so long any reforms proposed can be dismissed as out of date. Calling out the police violently kicking someone in the head is exactly what we need our politicians doing.

Not much to do with an actual terrorist getting a few kicks in the head.

We are talking about the Golders Green attack, not whatever terror attack you are obsessed with. please stay on topic.

I imagine that his future public appearances will be disrupted by groups of Labour activists and antideutschoid weirdos shouting him down and demanding he resign.

Actively wishing it on them is fine however.

General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don’t post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think “reputable news source” needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
