The WhatsApp, Signal, and Telegram audio recordings leaked by Hondurasgate reveal an alleged plot and secret agreements involving Honduran President Nasry Asfura, former President Juan Orlando Hernández (convicted of drug trafficking), Argentine President Javier Milei, and the US and Israeli governments, among others.
“The voice recordings suggest that a plan was hatched by the Trump administration, financed by Israeli capital and Argentine President Javier Milei, and agreed upon with local Honduran elites to return the former president to power, persecute the left-wing opposition, and wage campaigns to discredit the progressive governments of Claudia Sheinbaum and Gustavo Petro, among others.
