“It’s such a stupid question that you ask” is such strange sentence construction for a native english speaker. Is he copying that phrase from somewhere?
His inability to follow what he himself is saying for more than a few words leads to him projecting that deficit on others. So he had to clarify. Even though the question at hand is obvious.
He’s always putting these addendums on sentence fragments.
Which time?
