Anything you view or consume media wise is fair game
All of the SciFi shows on TV+. If the other apps, integrated apps, count…. Max has Julia season 2 (season 1 was great, IMO). Watched an episode or two of One Tree Hill per day until we finished all 9 seasons. I’m watching Smallville, too.
Alright y’all I’m 5 minutes in and Monarch is awesome as shit.
For All Mankind, The Buccaneers, starting Monarch King of Monsters tomorrow night! That will be fun I think.
Love FaM, Buccaneers is okay-good so far if you’re not worried about realism in costumes, etc.
Just stumbled across the trailer for Echo 3. Worth a watch?
I liked it!
It was not a fast moving show though, I think some people expected more action all the time.
Bad sisters, physical, platonic.
Platonic is good.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
Absolute bangers on Apple TV+. They’ve been putting out quality show after quality show for like $7 a month for a couple years now. I keep thinking “No way they put out another amazing show.” I don’t know how they are doing this so well and other streaming services have fallen off so hard. Amazon Prime is trying, but most of it’s still garbage. Netflix has gone downhill on their own shows. Premier cable channels, hbo, stars, cinemax, etc all have like 1 show each that they ride for a few years. Hbo has been the best on those, of course. But AppleTV+, bangers. All of them. Napoleon looks like the next great movie. Couldn’t have chosen a better person to play him. It really just doesn’t make sense how they are doing it.
The price increase is well worth it. At this point, might as well cancel everything else. Apple always has like 2-4 shows running a week.
It’s the new HBO really.
Monarch. And so far it’s a disapointment for me. It’s not bad per se, but to me it commits the same mistake as the vast majority of kaiju media produced in the West: human drama that doesn’t build up or complement the kaiju threat.
There’s no tension, no sense that those creatures are an existential to humanity. It’s mostly treated as a classic monster showcase, and that sucks :c
I know things deviate from their intent over time, but the idea of representing the dread of nuclear annihilation through a monster that could come out from anywhere is so compelling on its own, that I don’t know why it’s completely abandonned in western media about kaiju.
However, I wouldn’t be making this comment if the human drama was top tier I think. As it stands it’s serviceable. Not bad, but nothing great either. It’s kind of bland honestly.
Proudly finishing Foundation season 2.
What’s this show like? I’ve been incredibly interested. Is it a slow burn?
saved the season 1 finale and season 2 for this winter
Well being new to Apple TV and + I’m finally watching Ted Lasso. Season one was great. Two… eh ok. Season Three…. I’ll just say at this point I feel committed and am going to finish it and hope it gets better.
The middle child and I are doing a Mando rewatch is season 2 (his suggestion)
Season 3 was a little bloated but there are still great episodes. Towards the end of the season the Amsterdam episode stands out.
Watched that one last night. Have to say yeah, it was pretty good.
The Amsterdam episode for me was the best episode of the series. Just great pacing and fun to watch. The whole series as a whole is a joy to watch despite a couple of episodes that were a little disjointed.
But top shelf quality comedy with Ted Lasso.
Finished Morning Show And watching Lessons in Chemistry- both very good dramas
These days my Apple TV is purely a conduit to serve up my Plex content. Gave up on the AppleTV+ sub when they raised the prices (and kind of ran out of interesting things anyways) and don’t have Netflix or Hulu anymore.
Moving pictures
Watching the Subscription Price go up!
Yah … seriously thinking about downgrading the family plan to just icloud+ and Music which are really the only two services we use, so I can’t justify the 50$ price tag in Canada for the “Premier” tier.
Blue eye samurai
Infuse app ;)
That’s a where, not a what…
