I never experience that original 4th panel. If a restaurant doesn’t want my business by showing their wares or prices, I just move on to another business that will and never visit that original one ever again.
If the menu is a QR code, I’m leaving. It’s that simple. I did not drive to a restaurant to be made to shop online.
I think it has benefits sometimes, especially when visiting a foreign country and being able to translate it without issues.
Most likely, they’ll use it for dynamic pricing though and increase their profits.
If you can scan a qr code, you can scan a menu and have it translated…
Qr codes are way way way too easy to abuse for me to be willing to scan them. Especially for something as routine as ordering food. I certainly won’t touch an app or make an account.
And thats to say nothing of the other nonsense. Why do you need cookies to show me a static menu? Why are you partnered with hundreds of others to share my data?
