For those unaware: Beria was the chief of the Soviet Secret Police, a notorious rapist and pedophile. Stalin was well aware of this fact. As long as it affected other people, it was fine. Once he found out his daughter had been left alone with Beria, he ordered an armed security escort to immediately retrieve her - and execute Beria on the spot if she seemed in any way violated.

Beria escaped death by the fact that he was, apparently, not quite stupid enough to molest the dictator’s daughter.
