The position puts her at odds with some on the left, such as Rep. Ro Khanna, another potential 2028 contender, who said he wants to find “common ground” with people like Greene.

In a conversation Friday at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics moderated by David Axelrod, the onetime political strategist to President Barack Obama, a student asked Ocasio-Cortez whether she stood by past remarks that there were “legitimate white supremacist sympathizers at the core of the House of Representatives caucus” and, if so, why she worked with some of them.

Ocasio-Cortez did stand by them and said she wasn’t scared of reaching across the aisle, holding up her work with Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn. But she set a clear boundary.

“I personally do not trust someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene, a proven bigot and antisemite, on the issue of what is good for Gazans and Israelis,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “I don’t think it benefits our movement in that instance to align the left with white nationalists. I don’t think it serves us.”

Jfc there is someone left in this party that hasn’t lost her mind. Maybe reaching across the isle towards monsters is a bad idea.

She was one of the first republicans to pivot against trump, particularly wrt the epstein files. I’d venture to guess there’s some people who see that and think that means she has some acceptable moral framework, and not either the absolute minimum we should expect of our representatives and/or high-risk high-reward manoevering within the GOP.

She is a grifter that changed strategies once she got burned and was kicked out of Trump’s favor and became all about telling everybody how bad the grift is, that is a shameful past not one that makes her more redemptive, she would have had to take one of the million opportunities she previously had to quit while she was ahead before she hit that brickwall for it to matter.

She rejected the War in Gaza as genocide. She endorsed single payer health care, she rejected the Iran war before it was popular. She also opposes geo-engineering (roundabout they are on about chemtrails but Gates and his ilk plan on blotting out the sun with sulfur dioxide in the upper atmosphere, it’s a bit thing.)

Which makes her better than almost all the democrats. I believe you are all being manipulated by the right wing to reject defectors, and therefore keep us divided, and losing.

She’s not a defector… she just was not invited to the elite club and found herself amoung the leopard’s den when she tried to get the Epstein list released (probably still believing only democrats would be on the list and not 90% of her colleagues)

You have not done better than mtg though, you (we,) have lost every level of government.

I have absolutely, unequivocally done better than mtg because I am a relatively meaningless person and thus have not singlehandedly moved the needle towards fascism and collapse in the US like mtg has by enabling and drawing power from being associated with MAGA and Trump for so long.

Done better, by losing every branch of government? I don’t think you have really thought through these opinions to reject everyone you are told to for lack of purity, while still accepting and defending democrats that are even worse.

Seems to me, Israel is playing you.

My argument is that mtg’s impact has been massively detrimental, it doesn’t feel like you have grasped that.

Way ahead of you, AOC. I don’t trust ANY of you political elites.

In fact, I’d prefer you all dangling a few feet of the ground.
