@Lazarou@mastodon.social has been collecting comments about Streeting. Hard to believe anyone wants this guy in charge. He seems he’d be more at home with the Tories or reform ltd.

Picking Weaselly is somehow picking the one front bench candidate who is more right wing and more unpopular with the left of the party than Starmer currently is. I also think hes even less charismatic than Starmer as hes even more of a prepared PR statement, as his actual ideas and words would turn off even the Labour right.

I cannot think of a single policy change that he will willingly make that will bring onboard the left, or that the right can just promise to out deliver as they don’t actually have to deliver them.

If anything he will just speed up privatizing the NHS by stealth.
