Hello my fellow KDE kameramen, and welcome to the latest update to Wonderbrushed, the 2nd community update. For people who don’t know, Wonderbrushed is a kde icon pack aimed making the desktop a less sterile and boring place with painterly textures and semi realistic 3d shading. this was a GIGANTIC update, so I have been working on it for a whole month. Here are the main changes:

  • I added all the new community suggestions for icons, and the main reason things took a while was because the system category recommendations list was filled to the brim.

  • I switched from affinity to an actual painting app, Krita, so I could work on Linux. I also got a drawing tablet, the Huion HS64 so that I can use pressure sensitivity instead of, well, whatever my mouse had.

  • A Reddit and GitHub user Crylion offered to help make Wonderbrushed actually apply-able so put a shout-out for him down below.

  • Now Wonderbrushed is an installable icon pack (more details in the github)
