    He hasn’t pulled the pin on the leadership grenade yet. If he doesn’t do it soon he will be seen as just talk.

      He’ll do it, he’s insanely ambitious despite being one of the few potential Labour leaders who’d be even worse than Starmer.

      I don’t think he has the numbers to do it, imagine not being able to able to find 80 MPs to support you against Starmer

      And he certainly doesn’t have the numbers with the members vote, his best bet is for Burnham and Rayner to split the vote.

        Feels like there’s an intentional delay to get Burnham in now as well.

        Probably been told to hold off at the cost of burning political capital

          Knowing Wes he would only do that if he knows he can’t win himself. He leaked he was sending in his letter so he had to do it when he did but the actual next step was missing so now he loses all momentum
