This already happened. ChatGPT discontinued an older model and forced users to the new model, which had a different personality. People were unhappy.

Of course she would never go back. Chatbots are sycophantic, constantly praising you and agreeing with whatever crazy thing you say. You don’t ever fight with them because they never disagree with you. You might as well be in a relationship with your imaginary friend, and that might cause less harm because at least you’re using your imagination.
