Hey everyone, this is probably my first post since the year I opened my account on reddit and I am active recently. I am new to home networking and I need help from you all.
I am from India and I want to understand one thing. All of you keep allowing traffic from your routers publicly but not sure if it’s in India or you all are paying for opening ports on routers publicly. Here, even if I map or open ports in router configuration, still I can’t accept the traffic on public IP until my ISP allows it. How do you all do so?
ISP charges for each port that we have to open here

Might just be India or your specific ISP. I’ve lived in a handful of countries and none of my ISPs charged extra for allowing incoming connections.
