Total home network newbie, so apologies in advance. Didn’t see anything on the faq on point. I live in a condo that has two wall coax points - one in my bedroom and one in the living room at the other end of the unit. I currently have a single Motorola mg7540 modem/router, installed in the living room, with an Ethernet cable direct to my smart tv. Everything else I use WiFi. Currently I have terrible signal in the bedroom; I can move the router modem and plug it in to the bedroom coax, but then I have terrible signal in the living room (and can’t do a direct Ethernet connection to the TV). I saw online that I could connect a second router via Ethernet to the first, but that’s not a great option for me as I don’t have any good place to lay the wire. On the other hand, the bedroom already has a coax cable.
Could I just buy a second router-modem and put it in the bedroom? Would that create two different wifi networks, or would it be possible to have them join?
Is there a better solution I haven’t thought of?

Fore wired connectivity to your bedroom, MoCA adapters using the coax would suit you best. Here are some diagrams from GoCoax that show how to use MoCA. Be sure to verify that all splitters are 5-1675mhz and that PoE filters are installed as shown on the diagram that applies to you.
Once you have wired connectivity in your bedroom you can add an Access Point (AP) and set it to the same SSID as the router.
