Anti-immigrant rhetoric in Ukraine is “Russian propaganda,” Ukrainian media keep assuring everyone.
And now take a careful look at the new “White Stickers” recently released by the Azov publishing house:
- “Our Goal Is One — a Ukrainian Ukraine”
- “Migrant = Foreign Occupier”
- “Remember, Foreigner: the Ukrainian Is Master Here!”
- “Ukraine for Ukrainians.”
Every single sticker proudly features the Nazi Wolfsangel symbol.
So apparently it is the Azov movement itself that is spearheading the racist and xenophobic campaign against labor migrants from Asia and Africa.
But this is the elephant in the room nobody in Ukraine — not the media, not politicians, not even the human rights crowd — wants to acknowledge.
Criticizing Azov has effectively become taboo in Ukraine and abroad.

Right on cue: an anti-immigrant Neo-Nazi rally took place in Kiev with the slogans “Ukraine for Ukrainians” and “Sieg Heil”.
Visible are the red and black OUN flag (WWII Nazi collaborator organization responsible for pogroms and massacres) as well as Right Sector and Svoboda (far right Neo-Nazi organizations that led the 2014 Maidan coup):
