All posts must be news articles from a reputable news source that is known to report in good faith. Do not link to tabloids, blogs, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, or other social media. Posting a screenshot of social media and trying to pass it off as news will result in an immediate, permanent ban.
Do not editorialize in the post. The post title must match the headline, and you should not editorialize in the post. Any opinions you have about the news story should be in the comments.
Posts must have the original source as the post URL. To include an archive link, include that in the top of the post body.
Be civil in the comments. No hate speech, bigotry, racism, xenophobia, or any dog-whistle versions of any of that. Keep comments on topic and avoid knee-jerk, low-effort, reactionary replies. Avoid speculation and conspiracies that are not directly supported by facts. Advocating for or celebrating acts of violence will be grounds for an immediate and permanent ban.
Please try to include a brief summary of the article or at least a paragraph that captures the gist of it. Do not include bot-generated summaries of the article or the full article text.
If you’re not from the US and a news article does not directly pertain to your country, kindly keep your opinions to yourself.
