    Plenty of teams have pulled off a relocation with minimal blowback.

    But the Bears have been in Chicago for over a century and they have a loyal fan base there despite a long history of sucking. Chicagoans have a strong community identity and don’t collectively take perceived slights very well so the Bears could very well wind up with a new stadium and no fans.

    Interested to see how this plays out.

      If they actually leave the state or Chicago area, I hope Illinois passes a law that prevents them from calling themselves Chicago Bears within the state. It’s the exact level of pettiness the owners deserve.
