The Premier League currently has 196 injuries recorded in just over three months, with Newcastle and Manchester United suffering more than most - so why this many?
This definitely doesn’t get talked about enough. Not to mention the extra time they’re adding into games now because of it. I don’t think it’s a stretch to assume longer games = more potential for injury
It really is bad. Had a hamstring strain because of this during track. Your body needs to be warm, being inactive for too long makes your body cold, the moment you start running again…pop goes the hammy. Extensive sprinting and jumping is the cause, if you are in the gym or doing long miles then its different. It all comes down to overloading and working the hamstring. Could probably explain van de ven injury
Might be them 5 minute var checks. standing still for 5 mins then immediately springing again surely can’t be good for you over time

Resting in between sets of exercise is bad for you? What drugs are you on?
