    Imperial Japan was disgustingly evil and dropping nukes on people is disgustingly evil.

    They are not mutually exclusive.

    He himself was definitely not a victim of anything, however. Awful guy.

        The ideal scenario is that Japan surrendered with 0 bloodshed and realized “damn we’ve been pretty fucking awful” and everybody became friends and lived happily ever after

        Lol, I don’t know if there was any clean way to make Imperial Japan surrender without absolutely imploding. In hindsight the issue with nukes is much beyond the exploding part.
