Well our life quality as significantly decreased from social media usage and capitalism up our asses. Just to give you an idea of how different the world our parent grew up was, before the 80s it was seen as exploitative to advertise to kids, things like toys and movies would not be advertised on TV. Think how far capitalism has gone, there are click farms on YouTube with the sole purpose of exploiting babies to click on the videos, there are games with micro transactions made to resemble gambling mechanics to make kids addicted. So yeah we are fucked up, but never forget the many reasons why

depends on how wealthy your parents were.

if your parents or you made over 100K a year, typically, you’re qualify of life has gone way up.

if neither you or your parents make 100K a year, you’re quality went way down.

To be fair there are a lot of very well-off people in this country who ‘feel poor’ because they have totally unrealistic standards for their lives… like owning a 5000sq ft home at 30 on a single income. Meanwhile the average 30 year old makes likes 40K a year and can’t even afford a studio apartment in most cities.

There are a lot of folks who are legit struggle, and a lot of idiot losers on social media who are just whining that they didn’t automatically get a 500K a year job after they got their BA in English.

Meanwhile most of the influencers class who pretend to be normal middle class people… are trust fund babies had about 1000x your wealth when they were born. And average folks eat up the false narrative they sell that one day they will also drive a Lambo on their 50K/yr income.
