The Baron was supposed to be hyper smart but just a deeply fucked up, gay pedo raper murderous individual with horrible disgusting taste, and had always been. In one of the prequels that Herbert’s son wrote, apparently the Baron used to be slim and beautiful, too, but raped just the wrong person who infected him with every disease that exists.
