‘mild melon’ thanks for that, made me laugh! Little punk rock soft boy cucumbers. Mine are shy to grow because I’m eyeing them too greedily, knife in hand.
Idk if it is every variety but for me the main difference between fresh cucumbers and store bought is that they are just mildly sweet. It’s the most divine flavor.
We are having the best luck with them this year. We had a very early heat wave so they are bursting before the various maladies can take them.
Fingers crossed that yours are coming.
I’ve just planted mine late and therefore have none yet, but they look very healthy and today I found the first small cucumberlings - just a few days more now!
