Since mid-October 2023, the World Health Organization has been monitoring data from Chinese surveillance systems showing an increase in respiratory illness in children in northern China
There is however 80%+ antibiotic resistance with these kids when it comes to one of the drugs used to treat this sort of thing. The concept isn’t new but I haven’t heard much about it relatively recently, but it sure hasn’t gone anywhere
