I’m branching out to software that isnt in the apps catalog. For apps that arnt in the app store, is it better to go custom app or use another software like dockage to run them?

You mean dockge? My understanding is that dockge and similar solutions are just an alternative to TrueNAS’s custom app interface, so it wouldn’t really matter, other than dockge is probably easier to use.

Yes sorry I mean dockge. I was just interested in if there was any benefit to using it over custom app but it sounds like its much the same
The main benefits I see are a better UI and web terminal, and the ability to manager multiple hosts from dockge (like if you run some workloads in a VM for example).
