From beautiful black kit to this radioactive zebra
Apparently it’s supposed to represent Islington.
Well at least Martinelli likes it…
I’m not sure Martinelli had the option to say it looks like a hot radioactive mess
This is one of those kits you buy after the season ends from a bargain bin and bring out 25 years later for street cred because now it’s fashionable in a kitschy kind of way.
Truly an abomination
Just sad, honestly
Well, it’s definitely a kit
Who approved this lol
Nope, still hate it. Epic video though
@little_niggle Arsenal fans have only got ourselves to blame for this monstrosity. We bigged up the bruised banana and gave Adidas the impression that we like our away kits to look like vomit.
@Beedge @little_niggle wait, are you disrespecting the bruised banana? 😞
@thatdosbox @little_niggle Oh for sure! 😀
That puke fest was every bit as awful as this when it came out back in the day. Time and nostalgia have softened my sense of revolution towards it, but it took 30 odd years. I can’t see this one growing on me any quicker!
@Beedge @little_niggle let’s see what happens if we win the league in it 😉
@thatdosbox @little_niggle nothing like winning the league to make you fall in love with a Jersey. The yellow with Navy sleeves from Anfield 89 is still the most beautiful garment known to man in my eyes!
As always, I’ll have to see one IRL to truly decide. It’s not one I think I’d buy but it’s probably more aimed at a younger fan than I, judging from the video. I actually think that in that context it looks OK.
If it helps players spot each other on the grass, that’s good. Also, is it just me it does the design owe a lot to the Forest Green Rovers kit?
In the end, they could wear a poo brown mankini for all I care, as long they play well.
