The Ned Kelly pie
That looks neat…what is it? Can’t tell if its a deep pie or flat like pizza pie (sort of like a cocca- a local type pizza but without cheese typically, but don’t call it a pizza you’ll get gutted)
It’s a meat pie with egg & bacon on the top. A meat pie is cooked beef mince with a short crust pastry bottom and puff pastry top. But in this case the top is replaced with the egg & bacon. It looks a little darker because I put it in the airfryer.

I have a Welsh friend who buys these at the English grocery store here, all frozen, and I swear he cooks them by sunlight they’re so pale

Took the Minipeelers to Grill’d for lunch. I think my local Grill’d is the only decent one in the vicinity. Love that golden katsu mayo 🤤 Miniest found it afterwards at the supermarket, so a bottle of it has come home with us. I’m just about to make a Bolognese sauce for dinner either tonight or tomorrow.
Provided the nonsense in the middle east doesn’t escalate too badly we’re off to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix next month. So today we tried Azerbaijani food for the first time: khangal and fisinjan. Bloody lovely.
