I have a Vodafone modem/router and it emits the normal “Vodafone-XXX” SSID but then it also emits several other SSID’s that are all called wave.

Like “Wave_44” “Wave_12” … I have 8 or so of these…

I tried accessing the router but nothing I do changes this. Does anyone know how I can change it?

I thought Vodafone used Openreach for their network?

If that’s the case you wouldn’t normally need to use their router as the ONT modem should plug into another router directly (just need whatever connect settings). I know for a fact Plusnet allow any router that allows the right login settings to be used directly.

EDIT - I realise you may be in one of a few countries with Vodafone (I’m in the UK) - what country is this?

Germany. I may be using incorrect terms. For clarity sake: I have a device that as far as I know it’s a modem and router. The cable connection goes in and internet/wifi goes out.

Everything is working fine but it is also emmiting these unlocked networks called wave-xx
