i constantly have >10% packet loss which makes playing any video game impossible on my PC. This spans multiple home’s that I’ve had this PC at, with none of my other devices OR my family or roommates having any packet loss issues.

running ethernet is not an option for me. i feel like the problem may be related to the proximity to the router, as when i connect to my phone’s hotspot, it’s perfectly fine. i can’t move closer though

to add to the issue, my adapter is supposedly one of the best ones at my budget (TP-Link AC600)

i can’t stress enough that this is NOT an issue with the internet at either location; all of my other devices have no packet loss whatsoever

does anyone know ANYTHING that could help?

What is your isp plan, is that radio internet from private company or what. I doubt you are on fiber.

Temporary move the pc so you can connect it to the router with an Ethernet cable. That will help determine if it is a hardware component in the pc.
