True. Nagpalit ako ng OS, tumagal yung buhay ng laptop ko na mas mura. Baka microsoft office habol nila or may mga software sila na exe lang. Hehe idk.
Or, install ChromeOS Flex. I doubt teachers will learn Linux distros. Haha
tp be fair to the developers, the new OSes have gotten very user friendly. during the pandemic, i tried Xununtu on my dying laptop (was happy with Windows 7, accidentally pressed the update button, the laptop became perpetually frozen). had difficulty learning the CLI but once i learned the basics, using it was no different from using microsoft products.
i wish the govt will shift to FOSS products for all basic office tasks. laptops to be distributed to non-tech govt employees can come preinstalled with the needed software.
wish we start with state universities (eg UP), who opted for data privacy nightmares like Zoom and Google.
