I bet Tolkien was pissed that Herbert just glosses over the battle language instead of constructing it in its entirety.
I’d read a Herbert rewrite of LotR. I don’t think it would be better, but it would be extremely interesting.
Herbert basically put all his kinks into his later books. I don’t think Tolkien would like that.
