On the other hand, wartime leader being retired after war makes perfect sense (Winston would later return back for another term, but anyway).
Wartime leaders tend to make terrible peacetime leaders, ask Wellesley.
To be fair, Wellesley enacted the Catholic Emancipation which allowed Catholics to run for public office, which tacitly gave civil rights to the Irish.
Wouldn’t vote for Zelensky even if he puts a trident on the Kremlin himself. Otherwise support his geopolitical points.
Zelensky’s domestic policies are really bad and he’s not exactly above corruption. I always think he is the Ukrainian Churchill.
