    I dig a hole: Wow, somewhere no one has seen before!

    Active Vulcanoes create lava tubes big enough to walk through - no one has seen before. People build new houses - somewhere no one has seen before. Artists and digital artists create new pictures and videos. Most of the sea floor hasn’t been seen before, doctors using exploratory cameras to see into someone’s gut. Caves that have simply had a shift in rock (often after an earthquake or tremor), or collapses to open new sections. Dreams.

    There are lots of places people have never seen before… And this is before we ask why isn’t it enough just that YOU haven’t seen something before? Why do you have to be in competition with everyone else?

    Would a flower be any less nice if someone had seen it before you?

      I think the bigger picture for the excitement around these places is the ability to learn more about the world around us. Now, exploration for explorations sake? Yep, you have a valid point. And a new tourist destination.
