House Democrats are adding a dozen Republican-held seats to their list of targets for the November midterms, expanding the national campaign map to districts Donald Trump won easily less than two years ago.
The move brings the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s list of targets to 58, an ambitious list that reflects Trump’s diminished standing with the electorate and Democrats’ belief that they can capitalize on voters’ frustrations over the economy, the war in Iran and the chaotic nature of the Republican president’s second administration.
Target every district! Leave no seat unchallenged!
Democratic advertising dollars go a lot further in swing districts than they would in deep red ones.
I didn’t say spend a load of campaign money if every district. Just get somebody on every ballot is a start.
Sure, if they’re trying to appeal to liberals. But if they actually tried to appeal to the working class, they could win even “deep red” districts.
The working class in deep red districts is indoctrinated with religion and xenophobia to blame the country’s problems on immigrants, transgender people, and other minorities. While it’s worth trying to flip swing districts, it’s best to invest limited electoral resources on districts where it matters most, rather than ones that have voted Republican by high margins for decades.
We’re having GREAT Success WINNING with Politicians who want to TAX the RICH so let’s run CANDIDATES in Trump Districts that DONT want to do ANYTHING like That!
