Not enough slimes bouncing around
iām working on it give me a minute
Yeah it must be gm_flatgrass
I am very envious of that lesbianās arm. Solid structure.
Straight girls can have muscles too! š
The below ended up way longer than I intended, so Iāll put it in a spoiler tag. Itās a long essay of musings from a trans gal on working out as a couple and some trans-related concerns/anxieties along the way, with some SFW straight slop thrown in for good measure. :3

My husband and I took up power lifting at the start of the year and have been keeping up with it. He tried it in the past, but found it hard to keep up with. It got too monotonous and he had trouble finding the will to keep pushing the same boulder up the same hill. We both needed to start doing a proper exercise routine, so we decided to both start a power lifting workout routine together. And let me tell you, two people makes it sooo much better.
The way the workout is structured is a series of lifts separated by rest breaks. Currently weāll do a set of five and then wait for at least 3 minutes before staring the next. By yourself, these breaks are slow and annoying, as you have to watch the clock. Three minutes is a lot longer than you think when you have nothing to do but look at your phone.
But with another person, you just tag team! We both have different weight levels for each exercise. So that means we have to swap the weights out between each set. Could be monotonous, but it actually isnāt. It gives you something to do in the rest periods. Plus moving the weights is just more workout! And it saves you from having to watch the clock, as the time to swap weights out and for the other person to do a set is usually 3-5 minutes.
And itās also just a fantastic bonding opportunity between us. Itās an activity we can regularly do together. We outfitted a home gym in a back shed, and we work out together three days a week. From a coupleās perspective, itās like a regular date night you donāt have to pay any money for. For 1-2 hours, itās just us together doing nothing but sharing in the same activity and enjoying each otherās company. Itās wonderful. Itās a great opportunity to open up and talk about whatever is on our mind of troubling us. When moving the bar to a higher or lower position, each of us grab one end of the bar and move together in unison. We spot each other for certain exercises.
And frankly, getting to spend so much time so close to each other as youāre both really using your bodies, while wearing shorts and tank tops/t-shirts? Seeing each otherās muscles move and the living vitality of your partner? Letās just sayā¦your heart isnāt beating faster just from lifting weights⦠I have never and would never hit on a stranger in a public gym. But he is far from a stranger, and weāre not in a public gym. :D Never done anything actually in the gym, but weāve definitely engaged in some after-workout activities on occasion. :3
I can highly recommend it. This is the first time in my life Iāve ever tried regularly working out with a partner, and itās changed everything. My AuDHD butt has trouble keeping up with regular workouts. But working out with my husband has changed workouts from a dull painful slog I have to endure to something Iām genuinely interested in and love.
And eight months or so in? Iāve definitely seen results. Iāve had a noticeable increase in strength and stamina. Itās greatly increased my energy levels and made all sorts of minor aches and pains disappear. Plus having more strength is just a very useful thing. Itās enabled me to take on projects I would otherwise have had to hire out.
While even cis girls worry about this, I as a trans gal was especially worried that gaining muscles would make me look more masculine. Itās one of the reasons I never tried weightlifting before. But my husband assured me that this was a common fear among even cis women, and that it wasnāt really a concern. He even pointed me to a cis gal fitness influencer whose talked at length about this. And he was right. Iāve put on a lot of muscle, but as Iāve been on HRT for years, it doesnāt make me look more masculine. I look like a strong woman, not a man. My muscles are larger, but theyāre not huge and could never really get huge. Unless youāre taking big doses of testosterone, you just canāt grow big manly muscles. The squats have made my hips and butt look amazing, and arms and shoulders really donāt look huge. They look very tone more than anything. Theyāre larger, but not masculine at all.
Itās weird. Like, I know the science. I know that when studied, trans women have no advantage over cis women in sports performance after a few years on HRT. I fully support trans women and girls having full access to any womanās sporting event. I firmly believe that trans women should compete with cis women, not just because weāre women, but because we literally have no advantage over cis gals.
I believe this, but I actually could apply that to me personally. I simultaneously thought trans women had no advantage in sports at the same time I was terrified that weightlifting would turn me into a gorilla. Just some really interesting cognitive dissonance.
Whether youāre gay, straight, or anything else. I can highly recommend working out with a partner. And I can specifically recommend power lifting. Itās really been transformative. And doing it together has been wonderful in bringing us together.
Hell yeah! šŖš„°
Now if only I could find someone like thatā¦
Yeah I really won the lottery with him. We met back in the mid-2010s on OKCupid. This was back before the whole dating site industry consolidated down to one company and really enshittified. But back then at least (not sure now), OKCupid had these really great personality quizzes. And if you actually engaged with them, did a good number of them, and answered openly and honestly? Well back then at least they were using tests designed by actual psychologists to find you the best partner match based on you responses. And we had a 99% match.
We talked for a long time, long essays and hours-long phone conversations between each other. When he asked to meet? I took a leap of faith. I was already falling for him, had been talking for weeks. But while I didnāt put my trans status on my profile, for safety I would always disclose before meeting someone. But that means I only disclosed after already getting close enough to someone to be comfortable meeting them. I chose this method for safety, but it also meant I got my heart broken again and again. But him? I came out to him then, andā¦miraculously he didnāt mind. I rolled a die with my heart on the odds a random cis guy wouldnāt mind me being trans, and I rolled a nat 20. He didnāt care. He loves me for how I am, not how I was. And not a chaser, he had no idea of my trans status until I told him.
We met, fell in love at first sight, and itās been a whirlwind of life since then. We had the initial period of white-hot love, and things did settle down into a long-term soulmate bond over time. But we really complete each other. Itās hard to explain. We just get each other on such a fundamental level. We complete each otherās sentences. We know when each other are in distress or pain even without saying anything verbally. I had the privilege in life of being able to marry my best friend. Heās my everything. And Iām his. Been together for nearly 12 years, been married for 8. We even got married in a church. (One of the progressive Lutheran variety.) My dad actually walked me down the aisle.
I tell people that magic does exist, because Iāve seen impossible wishes come true.
But seriously what is that background?
Clearly the car is partially submerged in an algae infested pond.
I think itās a window sticker.
It says in the text: Minecraft super flat world.
As a penis-wielder, am I allowed to say that Iād worship a girl like that without sounding like I want to convert anyone or like Iād disrespect oneās sexuality etc etc?
Am also a penis wielder, doesnāt mean I canāt be a lesbian ;3
Depends, are you a lesbian?
If you arenāt, then I think the post made it pretty clear.
Sib*, Iād as well worship someone like that. Trying to get these arms and abs myself⦠Lean beef patty is my inspiration tbh.
* 'cos some gals also have dicks, but if you prefer a different addres, lmk!
Congrats on coming out as a trans girl!
Buff arms being āunfeminineā is so stupid, IMO.
Itās sexy, on anyone.
Holy shit, I think she just made me become a woman
